Default soft top to hard top

I did a search, but could not find a thread on this subject. If anyone could point me in the right direction of a previous thread write-up, or if anyone else has done this to their jeep, I would appreciate some feedback. I ordered my jeep with the soft top, but now I have found a deal on a hard top. Will the hard top fit right on or will I have to drill holes to mount? What about at the windshield? Are the wires run for the wiper and defrost? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

How about at the windshield? Do I just use the same hold downs the soft top uses?

Is the wiring ran for defrost and wiper? I know I will have to find switches. How about weatherstripping under the hard top?

Another little detail I noticed is my softop doesn't have the extra knobs on the stalks to control the rear wiper /washer if I ever put a hardtop on.

Hmm yeah maybe could have worded it better, but at least you will remember it easier after multiple readings
I wondered why initially my dealer was happy to add the hardtop as an option on purchase, but later steered me away from it saying it was cheaper elsewhere, the cost itself wasn't the problem bu tthe labour and wiring changes to fit it. Replacing the steering column stalks wouldn't have been cheap or easy, probably none in the country.

You may have to have the computer reflashed to activate the wiper/defroster even if you get the switches and all.
