Default Soft Top Header Warranty Question

I am planning to take the JEEP in for oil change/tire rotation. I'm under 12months/12k. It is a 2008 model purchased in April of 2009. I am getting a bit of a whisle from the soft top header. I would prefer no work be done on the header unless the problem gets worse. My plan is to have them document the complaint, which would be within the 12 mo/12k window, but not do anything...just document it. If it is documented, would it be covered at a later date maybe even 2-3 later years if it gets a lot worse? Thanks!

If you mention to your Dealer that you're getting a "WIND NOISE" (use those exact words.....), coming from the front of your Soft-Top, they'll replace your Plastic Warped Header, with the new Metal Non-Warped Header. Fixed my Wind Noise!

Best of Luck!

Cheers!

Funny story with mine. Had mine replaced last week on my '07 under warranty. The slight whistliing I used to have at highway speeds has since become worse with the new replacement header. Now there is wind noise at speeds below 45mph. The seal is actually in the top of the windshield frame so that does not get replaced. I'm hoping its the cold weather that has not allowed the seal to conform to the new header as of yet. Hoping for the best. My wife actually asked if we really needed it fixed.

At least the JK is still tons quieter than my old YJ.
