What are you expecting to hear? I think ArizonaHeat summed up the situation pretty well.

Chrysler: Nothing to see here. Move along.

Well I'm sorry I thought that maybe DC had made some sort of progress. I love how everyone (well some people are so quick with their remarks. Sorry for asking.

Sorry to ruffle your feathers. Didn't mean to. You posted right below Arizona's detailed update with a "we haven't heard anything?' question.

Tweaked my smartass button, I guess.
No offense. Carry on.

That's the same problem I have. The dealer had it for a day and decided it was just the weather seal. I can see from the front that the header is warped and doesn't seal tight all the way across, especially near the latch on the drivers side.

They just called and the seal came in today, it will be installed tomorrow, and I know the noise will probably still be there.

At least I got it in before the warranty expired !

Well, I drove through the mountains over the past weekend against a 50 mph headwind and thought the soft top was going to rip right off. My Jeep went into the shop 7am Monday morning to get the weather seal replaced in hopes of stopping the roaring sound from the leak. They called at 6pm and said that the fix didn't work and that they need to keep it for another day or so. I told them again about the new steel header mentioned here but they still haven't heard anything about it...

...almost 3 days at the shop now and still no word on if the wind leak has been fixed or not!

I just took a 1500 mi trip north for Christmas. The top whistled like a m*th#f*ker.

After about a 100 mi or so I'd had enough, sucked up my pride, stopped at a
truck stop and got a roll of black duct tape... three layers later no whistle.
In fact, it was as quiet as its ever been.

This is f--kin' ridiculous. There is no reason for this kind of leak on a new vehicle.
The a-sholes at DC obviously have the fix.. So whats up? - the cost of another serv-bul!?! . . . give me a break.

. . . Just market the damn thing as a heavy-duty accessory for less than $100
and the retards could make money.

Has anyone contacted Bestop yet???

Sorry guys . . . just venting.

I wish things would progress on this further... my Jeep has whistled and roared since i got it.. but still quieter than any of my 4 TJ's so I figured it was a "Jeep Thing".. however after these posts I noted my header is warped all the way across... miraculously I dont get any water leakage at all... chrysler is replaci9ng my Jeep due to electrical issues and my new one is ordered.. would love for the Fix to be on my new 2009 when they build it in february.... is that a pipe dream? since I only live a few hours from Livonia perhaps I need to take a trip up that way if the new 2009 has the crappy plastic header...

having done 3 20 hr drives and 2 12 hr drives in the last month all I can say is thank god for Infinity speakers and Ipod integration...
