Just finished putting my soft top for the first time ever. It took me nearly 2 hours to figure it all out.

What the heck am i doing wrong? I assume it just needs to stretch itself out - leave it up for a few days?

 

Post photos interior and back area.
Maybe the check straps are wrapped around support bars in the back?
Maybe you attached some bars reversed in the back?
What year? <09 or >2010, they are different.

 

Maybe I am missing something here on the mobile app, but I see no pics or indication of where things are going wrong, but when I recently installed mine the first time, I remember a few things...

Had issues with the header not reaching the front. Found that if it is a cooler day, I sometimes need to lift the rear bow up further than normal to help the front reach

Found that also I can be a numbskull and forget that if the main part of the compound lever isn't lifted up fully, the lower latch won't always reach the grip on the windshield

Also found that I overlooked tucking the front part of the side windows into the door surround, so my windows tried to flap off of the Jeep the first time I got up to speed

If you have a sunrider, the clips sometimes don't secure the top quite right, had to reseat it once or twice when the top was still new
