Default Soft Top Leak Above Soundbar

Well the bad news is the last two rain storms have definitely made my leak apparent. The top of my soundbar and seatbelts are always soaked now. I did some investigation but couldn't really nail down the leak point. I had an appointment with the leak specialist at the dealer today and the leak was finally found. Apparently the water is coming in from around the center seam. The dealer said the seam either stretched or was not sewn correctly from the factory. I Just thought I would let everyone else know since I don't remember this being a problem area before. Anyway, the good news is the dealer is replacing the top under warranty. I forgot to ask if they are giving me new windows as well. That would be nice to have a set for the trail.

Your dealer has a leak specialist???? Tell us the address, and I'm sure we'll all be there!

I had the same problem, the seam started to separate by the B post. They replaced the top. Then the front wouldn't sit flush, so they replaced the header assembly. Search the threads you'll find it.

That is exactly what mine is doing. So I will take this with me when I go in Thrusday morning. My dealer is pretty good about taking care of the few problems that I have had. Thanks.

Its not threaded.. its a heat seal and its non fixable.. the top must be replaced... that happened to mine, they did it no questions asked.

I brought mine to an independent soft top repair place for their opinion on the recommendation of the dealer... the repair place said "non fixable"

Also, my dealership also has a "leak specialist" He comes in every so often.
I live in Vancouver, BC, Canada

Yeah it kind of worried me at first that they would have one but it turned out to be a good thing.

Thanks for the link...must have missed that one.
That is exactly what mine is doing so I will have this ammo when I go in Thrusday morning. Thanks.
SFD...I saw your post but wasn't sure it was coming from the same place. I thought you meant around the header seal. Glad my post could help though.

So it is a heat seal not sewn...dealers.
