Default Soft top not flush with window channels

I have tried everything to get the sides of my soft top to get flush, but they won’t budge. I’ve tried unlatching, removing everything and starting from the front, checking the tension cables, etc. but it seems like the top is too narrow on both sides? Every soft top I see lays so flat, but mine won’t come down. I can’t find any solutions online or any of the Facebook groups.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

I do not have a 2dr, but that middle bar looks like it is awfully high. I would inspect that. I think that could be pulling it up a bit higher than it should. I've had a 4dr top before where a similar bar was bent a bit causing a minor issue.

Okay! I’ll check that. I just took my soft top off today for the winter, and I wanted to try and figure out what the problem was before I put it back on again. Thank you for the advice! Hopefully that’s all it is.

I'd agree that it's definitely NOT right. I can't say I look at or see a bunch of 2dr soft tops, but that bar sitting high stands out to me.

Thanks for the reply! I’ll be sure to check that. I bought the top used, so that could more than likely be the problem. Seems to be the group consensus.

I have a two door and that bar is not supposed to be like that!
