Default Soft Top Question: Did you latch break?

Noticed the soft top wasn't engaging when latching to the passenger side at the top of the windshield. Whenever I'd latch it down it felt funny.

Well, found the problem. One of the two 'rivets' that connects the latch to the bracket connected to the softtop just came out. This caused the latch to skew to one side since there is nothing holding the latch on one side

I tried to put it back but no luck.

Questions:
1-Has anyone else had this?
2-If yes to #1, did the dealer replace w/o a fight?

This is one problem I can actually say I don't have. . . . yet.

I can't imagine that being an issue with the dealer. Sounds like a freak manufacturing problem. I am sure it happens from time to time.

Had the same thing happen. The dealer replaced the latch but it looks like it will happen again. The softtop sucks

I haven't had this happen but I'm going out in a little bit to check. If I could pull myself away from all the cool stuff on this site, I might be able to be more productive.

This happened on both latches in my TJ. Of course after it was out of warranty. The latches are expensive. I trimmed the brackets and replaced the rivets with screws and locknuts.
