Default Soft Top Questions

I have a 2012 2 door with hard top, which i love, but i'm looking into getting a soft top for easy toplessness for the summer. I don't need it to fold back like the sunrider, I want it either up or down.

Any feedback on some of the products from Bestop. Looking at the Trektop. How do they compare with the Sunrider as far as ease of putting up/down?

Thanks

I just put a safari top on mine today along with the rear duster. Looks great. Can't wait it drive to work tomorrow. Weather in Arizona is perfect right now and the forecast should make for a lot of enjoyment.

Ok so I talked to the dealer and he said the catalog shows the Sunrider Softtop for 2007-2012. So what is the difference between these two?

The for 11105.13X is for what Jeep switched to starting in 2010 models. It uses a spring loaded cable to keep the top sung along the front door surrounds.

11105.1135 is the older style top that you have to tuck in the top across the top of the door surrounds.

I have a 2010 and having the cable type does speed up putting the top up or down a bit. But that is a pretty good sale price on the older tuck in style.

Hope that helps.

But the model on sale should include all the hardware and would fit on 2012? Is the new style any quieter or leak free?

I'm the the same boat, just picked up a 2012 JKU with hard top, looking to grab a soft top.... reading this I guess the 07 - 09 soft tops will work fine on a 12, just don't have the cables?? 2010 on should all be the same top.... correct me if I'm wrong.

Was just about to put up a question about an 08 soft top fitting a 2012. But this answered my question. A guy at work sold his 08 with just the hard top and is giving me the soft top. As long as he has all the hardware I should be good to go. Thanks for the post.

I see that the 2013 JK forum made mention of possible upgrades to the 2013 soft top.... anyone have any ideas?
