I have a Best top trek top and am currently sitting in freezing weather with plenty of snow. (Typical Wyoming October) I was just wondering, any why i can get the ice off my soft top windows, safely?

I'm in snow land and I do nothing except sweep the snow off after a big storm. Don't worry about it.

I have the half doors on my JK.

I zip tie the zippers together so passengers can't open the window at all. I have seen a couple tj's with the tape in a diagonal across the window, and i assume this is exactly how it happens. At least i can finally purchase a replacement set, since the stealer probably wouldn't have them.

I ran my soft top through the blizzard last year. At one point I had about 2 feet of snow on my top with no ill effects. just brushed it off and the heater did the rest. The soft top is very tough.

I've never had any problems w/ the windows from my tj & lj....the windows get really stiff....and if you need to open the rear one for anything....it is tough...looks like jk ones are nicer quality tho!

I've also had it to Cochrane Ontario in -40 weather with the same conditions and no issues. Just don't try to unzip the back window when it's really cold. It will be a bitch to get it zipped back up. This is the big advantage of the hard top over the soft top. Other then that it was perfectly fine.
Yep, learned that lesson...IF your soft top is in cold temps and you have to unzip/rezip a panel/door/window...my suggestion is get the Jeep running and let that great heater warm things up first! Get the interior warm and doing anything with the soft top is much easier.

I don't think you have to anything extra other than make sure you dont just leaving it sitting on there for extended periods.

Plus, if it snows, get out and drive! the roads were empty last year and it was tons of fun!

Yea- do nothing here! No garage- just a soft broom for the top- but truth be told, I leave for work like 5am- I am one of those fools who just starts and goes.. Let the wind clean the top..
No ones one the roads anyway!

How much does it snow there? You should be fine. Places that do get lots of snow (Colorado, Canada) would have to watch the snow build up more often.
