Default soft top storage

My Jk came with the dual tops. I removed the soft top, as the manual says to do, and have it in my garage.

Is there a proper way of storing it so it is not damaged? Right now I have it on the garage floor resting on the material with the arms up. The floor is claen and dry, so that's not a problem. Should I stand it on the metal arms, or hang it from the ceiling?

Looking for suggestions and advice.

Thanks

John

Good question. I'd like to know also... I have mine straddling a refrigerator. I suppose using two ladder hangers would be ideal.

I'll post a pic in a bit...but what I did was hang some ladder hanger brackets on the studs in my garage and laid the soft top across those. Its off the ground, not getting dirty and bearing similar weight on the material as if it was in the soft top boot.

I built a lift for my hard top. when I am using the hard top I hang the soft top in the straps for the hard top and winch it up to the ceiling. nice and dry, out of the way, no mice. works great.

That's exactly what I did The only thing that worries me is mice. A few people have had them in garages or sheds and found holes in them in the spring. I have never seen a mouse here, but that doesnt mean they arent here.

Mines just folded up and stuffed under the bed in my spare bedroom. Clean, dry, and outta sight.
