So I decided to finally put the soft top on my JK. all was going well, installation was pretty easy, then when i got to the part where I pull the top over the jeep, i noticed a 1 inch rip in the back left corner, about 4 inches from the bottom. GREAT!!! Just called the dealer, he said pictures will have to be sent to Chrysler, and they will make the decision. Sucks because the tear is on the biggest part of the top, not on one of the windows. My guess is Chrysler is going to blame me for the tear

Anyone else have a similar problem?

 

Call and talk to your service manager...... explain exactly what you found. Hidden damage, if sponsored for you by the service manager, could be covered. Won't hurt to try.
