Soft top tear fix
So I've had tears on both sides of my soft top for about a year and with the first cold rain of the season I ended up like this today.

These are the tears.

They are on both sides.
My question is can I just go get 2 standard vinyl repair kits or will they not work because of the location? Will that be too much tension put on to the patches? Anyone try to patch that spot before?
I know the joking answer is to pull the plugs and carpet and be done with it but the problem is it channels the water right down the inside of the B post and right into the seatbelt tensioner SOAKING the seatbelt when it is parked making the subsequent drive miserable.

Those tears are in a bad place, and I'm afraid without a professional repair, the only thing that will happen is the top will get worse because the fabric will continue to degrade since it has been breached.
If your JK is still under warranty, I'd check into a dealership replacement.
