Default Soft top windshield seal

From what i have been reading i think i might be missing a seal.

I put the soft top on the other day, an i love it. It was a PITA untill i did it in the sun.

Anyway i seem to have a lot of wind noise from the top of the windshield, all the way across, even at 35-40mph. The rest of the soft top is pretty quiet.

I do not have any rubber, foam of any kind on the actual soft top. I just have the rubber on the windshield. Also there is approx 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch from the front of the soft top to the metal of the windshield, is this suppossed to be??

I have an 08 2-Door.

i have the same problem with my soft top, there is that gap between the soft top and the metal of the windshield, and it is noisy all the time especially if its really windy out!!!! i brought it to the dealer and they said it was fine, but its a pain because of the wind noise. the noise is better in the heat though. I was living in CT in the cold and it was horrible, and just moved to FL and the noise has gone down. probably from the soft top stretching in the heat. No water leaks though so i guess im lucky in that sense, but from the dealers standpoint im SOL. maybe ill try a dealer down here in FL and see if they can do anything different.

Ok it seems to be a little better today, even though it's much colder out... I don't know if it leaks yet though since it hasn't rained yet, although that should change today.

I am in the same boat. I just bought fome 3/8 foam weatherstrip from the local hardware store to install, but have not yet since I have had the top down for the last 2 weeks. Hope it will help the problem.
