Post Soft tops

Does anyone know if a 2009 jk 2door soft top and hardware will fit a 2014 jk 2door?

I think as long as you have the door surrounds from the 09 you should be good to go.

I think they changed the top in like 2011 to a cable stay instead of the web straps, but I think as long as you have all the parts from the 09 you should be alright.

I do know they changed the rear window in 2011, might all be able to work but with those things having hard enough time to seal when there right I wouldn't do it unless you have no other options or something like that.

Definitely need the door surrounds with it. The older soft tops came with a plastic header known to warp. A replacement metal version is available (like $100 DIY).

Search the forum, I seem to remember some issue with fitment that was cured by some very minor grinding with a dremel tool. Does that ring any bells, people??

Unless it's free or a real steal, I'd shop around for a newer one.

EDIT: the fitment issue was with the center loop that was moved between 08-09. Might only have effected hard tops.

I don't know whether or not the 09's and 14's tops are interchangeable but if you need to swap out a top, I would recommend the TrekTop NX. I replaced my 07 stock top with a Bestop TrekTop - sooooo much better than the stock one. No more leaks and way quieter inside, even at highway speeds.
