All I have is a soft top and didn't have any issues, but then I'm in Texas and we don't really have winters down here.

I had only the softtop on my 07 but my 08 will have the hard top.. I dont like hard winter use with the soft top as its real hard to keep the rear window clear. I'm going to get a bikini top and duster for teh summer and just do that and hardtop it when the temp drops below 35..

No problems here. She stayed outside most of winter with a soft top, and we had no problems...

I have some road salt in the interior from the back side windows...

just a bit of white powder on the rails. I never had this with the TJ. I would'nt hesitate to run a soft top.

I only got my JK at the end of our MI winter but I had no issues. The heater is awesome...everyone was asking if it got warm enough inside, I never had to blast the heat or fan at full. I think someone mentioned to watch for snow accumulation on the soft top...I have no prior experience but it makes sense to keep it clear of the weight of snow/ice. I run around most of the day so it won't be a problem for me.

The only issue I had is that I had to keep it up for so long (not that she....oh nevermind, someone else will make the comment for me)
But it has been in the surider position since Friday, T-storms tonight and tomorrow, so back up it goes.

Second winter here in SE PA, and no problems. We've had both snow and ice both winters, and the soft top has not given us any trouble.

Default Stayed Dry

No problems, rains all the time here in OR. The only time I've had any water inside is going through the touchless car wash. Too lazy to wash it by hand! Not to mention it's never dry enough here to justify me spending the time. That'll change when we get more than two days of consecutive sun! Jealous of those living in the South
