space behind the front of console?
How much space is behind the curved surface below the lip of the console lid?
This is the spot I am referring to...
I'd like to put this ....
Car Cigarette Lighter 1 to 3 Socket Splitter 12V 24V USB LED Light Power Switch | eBay
.... behind the panel after I have removed the casing of the power socket module and used little/shallow nuts on the switches to hold them in place. I will also be using wired socket extensions so that the longer plugs (on my electronic accessories) can be placed elsewhere under the console wherever they will fit.
But I dont know how much space is behind the curved panel. Does anyone think it will fit? DOes anyone have any pics of the area behind there?
I know that this is a bit of a convoluted thing to do, but I am not very good at automotive wiring and that is why I want to use the power socket module. And I am partial to small toggle switches.

That is insanely cheap and Walmart actually carries an almost identical product.
So you want to plug your accessories in under the console and run cords out, right?
It should fit, I put an alarm under there. Search for adding a proximity sensor to the factory alarm and you'll see how much room is under there.
