Default Spacers and adapters

Do wheel spacers and adapters add extra wear to the wheel bearings . Looking for some info ? I just put on some Falken 285/70/17 with stock rims . And I have a rub when the front wheel is turned all the way over .

That rub can be fixed by adding a thin washer under the steering stops. Takes about 10 minutes, I think I used a 5/16 washer. Very slight increase in turning radius, but in 4WD that slightly less angle is easier on the front axle u-joints.

Can you please explain how to do this? I have 1.5" spacers/stock wheels/35" and also rub when turn all the way. Not sure what the steering stop is, pics? Thanks.

The stop is a bolt with a nut spot-welded to it, you can see the stainless washer (that was added) right where the pencil is pointing.

Awesome, thank you. I will be doing this this weekend. A quick fix until I get
Bushwackers/wheels. The rub gets annoying after a while and people look at you like you hit something.

Yes. Moving the wheel farther out increases the loads on the bearings and the ball joints.

Then that would include offset wheels as well, not just wheel spacers.
