almost every time it is the trackbar or other LOOSE FRONT SUSPENSION PARTS that cause deathwobble.
  • NOT a worn or damaged steering stabilizer. Properly set up suspension doesnt "need" a steering stabilizer, but it is nice to have to soak up some occasional vibrations as it was originally designed to do. People will believe whatever they want on this, but some facts are simple. Tons of vehicles on the road without steering stabilizers running all variations of lift, with NO steering stabs whatsoever, without issues.
  • NOT unbalanced tires (those will definetly cause a shake, but NOT deathwobble).
As for steering geometry, I do agree that it is a possible concern on higher lifts, and keeping the trackbar more at the same angle that it was originally designed for will help combat loose/flighty steering (not cure it) and minimize bumpsteer. Be that with a flip or dropped pitman, or both; but IMO in and of itself it wont cause deathwobble, goofy steering yes, NOT deathwobble.

I had death wobble on a stock 2007 4 door. It ended up being a combination of two things. Unbalanced tires that instigated it....and as everyone says over and over on here in DW threads....a loose track bar that allowed it to happen. I replaced the stock tires and got larger all terrains and tightened the track bar to spec. and now....no death wobble in about three months.

Very true. It snowed here a few days ago and I got some really wet spring snow inside the rim and all over the front suspension components. The JK would shake really bad. I pulled over and cleaned out the snow, and NO PROBLEMS SINCE.
