Default Speedometer with or without compass? Need replacement

I have a 2007 Sahara and I need to replace my instrument cluster/speedometer. When I call around apparently there are 4 different types. 100mph or 110mph... That is easy because mine is 100mph. However the wrecking yards ask me if I have a compass or not. How can I tell which one I have? I have a display which shows outside temp./miles per gallon/etc...

This may seem like a silly question but I just want to make sure I get the correct speedometer.

Thanks,

Woody

Saharas come with compass. It is next to the outside temp when selected on the display.

I thought mine did at one time but it does not anymore... I added the Trail Guide GPS and for some reason I think the compass does not display anymore. Thanks for the reply.

just found this thread so I guess it does disable the compass...

It could be because of the compass sensor. It is located under the plastic cover above the radio. I have not used the trail Guide Gps but it looks to mount in this same area. Maybe the sensor was moved or damadged during the install?

Sorry about the detour in the post, but can you install a cluster with the compas/trip computer in a jk that just came with the o/s temp cluster? I know i would need the compass sensor, but is all else there? Maybe a reflash by the dealer then? Any thoughts?

Pop the cover off your dash over the radio ... you will see the compass sensor ..
