Default Try tightening the A pillar bolt

Mine had a bad squeek/rattle on the driver side. It turned out to be one of the three bolts holding the roll bar to the windshield A Pillar frame.

When sitting in driving position, look up to the left. There is a hole in the plastic trim, and in there, a bolt holding the rollbar to the windshield frame. There are two more bolts you can see thru the plastic trim directly over your head, around the sides of where the sun visor boltls to the top of the windshield frame.

I would losen, spray with your favorite lube, and tighten all three of those bolts, but the noise is likely the one on the left of the windshield frame. Also, while you're at it, check the tightness of the torx screws holding the sunvisor in place.

Try this... there are other common rattles, but from your description, i would say start here. Let us know. Good Luck!

My noise from the "dash" was the upper bolt that was loose near the top of the windsheild.
Sure sounded like it was the dash!

Default And if that's not it.....

Next, I would try this if your noise is not from the A pillar....
I had to fix this one too.

I had a squeak in my dash and pulled out my whole dashboard. I finally tracked it down to the clutch hardline rubbing on the firewall heat shielding in the engine compartment. I posted up the thread below and a lot of other people had the same problem. You might want to check this prior to ripping out your entire interior out

Default did that too

Doc D, I did that one too. I bent the heat shield, and put split 1/4 fuel line around that clutch hydraulic line... Never again will it rattle!
