Default squeaky a$$ windows....

I don't know if its from the fact that I got my front two windows tinted or if it's a factory thing but, when I hit the switch to put the windows down they squeak something fierce. It's driving me nuts...thinking of squirting some liquid wrench or wd-40 down inside there to stop it but I'm worried it might permanently damage the new tint or the windows......"inerts".
Just wanted to know if anyone has had this problem with they're windows...

Best,

Tony

WD 40 is made from fish oil I don't think it will ruin anything, but I would worry about it streaking your window? Maybe dry graphite?

One of mine did that for a little while and then stopped. I think I got something in there and it worked it's way out. Is it possible you have mud or something in there? Did it do before they were tinted?

Just pull off your door panel and fix it - it's not that hard. I can get the service manual instructions if you need it.

I have tint on my windows and no squeaky. I too would pull off the panel and find the squeak.

I, too, have the two front window tinted, and no squeak. It may very well be something that will work itself out. Is it both front windows, or just one?

I'm glad I'm not the only one, not that I would wish that noise on anyone else. My drivers side window has squeaked since day one. I going to try to pull the door panel to see what's going on in there.

Does it sound like it is coming from the window going through the slit or does it sound like it's coming from down inside of the door?
