Default Squeaky Brakes...

My brakes were squeaking pretty bad on a slight depression. This wasn't a surprise to me cause I recently rolled my rig and figured something was bent. When I took it to the shop to get everything checked out, they said it was only bad pads (seemed too easy to me). So I got new pads and the squeaking stopped for all of 10 miles. Then was back like before. What else is likely to be damaged in that area? I've heard axle shaft or axle flange? When a lift the tire that squeaks and rotate it I don't see any visible wobble. Would just like to stop this obnoxious sound when driving.

Could be something as simple as the dust cover/shield needs to be bent back a bit. More than likely since you rolled it you bent your axle shafts. When I got hit in August the jeep pivoted 90* on the right rear. Was enough that it bent that shaft. Rolling yours would have easily had enough force to bend yours as well.

I would start simple. Check your slide clips. I chased a squeak gremlin for 4 months and 3 different set of pads before I decided to change the $10 clips and it fixed it. But I do agree that it could be a bent shaft

How would I check the slide clips or dust cover without removing the tire?
