Default Squeek from Drivers seat...

I think its coming from the drivers seat. Checked the bolts to the floor and they're torqued to 45ft/lbs. When I wiggle in the seat it squeeks, when I move my foot to shift gears it squeeks! The jeep only has 5000 miles on it. This just started yesterday, by the way. Any ideas? My Cherokee did this too...after 12 years. Could it be the same squuek that requires shifting the door "catch"?

My 08 Rubicon did the same thing. After replacing the seat frame twice, we determined it was the frame itself ( made of steel and aluminum) where the two metals were rubbing against each other. I took it to a trim shop and they put lithium grease on all contact points between the 2 metals. It's been 2 weeks and I haven't heard a peep out of my seat.

I sprayed it down with lithium grease and that seems to have fixed the problem. I'll drive it for real later tonight and double check it as I just move it around in the driveway. Thanks for your help.

Default Mine too

My driver seat squeaks whenever I get in and sit on it or shift around on it. It sounds more like it is inside the seat than the frame.

I have found that with the Freedom panels out I can simply engage the cruise control, stand up, and drive it like a boat pilot. This reduces the noise form the seat.

But seriously, did any anybody have this covered by dealer?

I am in the squeaky seat club too---drives me nuts. I do have a Sahara-- if I raise the seat with the handle a little it goes away. Has to be the seat frame somewhere when it is at it's lowest setting.
