This has me puzzled. When you turn your key off on a fuel-injected engine, it kills the fuel injectors and ignition. Without fuel, there can be no dieseling, unlike old carb setup.
Fuel, ignition and compression needed for "dieseling" is my point.
This brings me to a thought. First you would have to have "hotspots", usually glowing hot carbon build-up spots on the piston tops or cylinder heads. Next you would have to have a fuel source. Could this be form a bad EGR valve that is stuck open allowing unburnt exhaust gases being drawn into the cylinders?

I'd also use the factory plugs. Champion RE14PLP5 (Gapped to 0.050")

It us very strange. I just bought the champion plugs tonight, going to install them tomorrow. I need to figure out where the cam sensor is, and these vacuum lines are.

Well I just replaced the plugs. Ill see how it runs now. If it stalls again, ill replace the cam shaft position sensor.... If that doesnt do it Ill go after the EGR valve... If that doesnt work Ill trade it in for a chevy truck.
Checked the two vacuum lines i could find, running on the passenger side up near the battery, looked perfect and new.
Ahhhhh.

Only real options i can think of is cam position sensor, egr valve... But those have codes... And i dont.
This thing is really pissing me off

Leaking injector + carbon buildup in cylinder = your dieseling issue. Just my 2 cents. That scenario would not throw a code since it happens after shutdown.
