Jeep.com shows the 30 standard in the front and 44 in the rear... You can look at the bolt pattern to tell the difference.

Go Here:
Jeep - Contact Us

Click on the "Equipment Listing" link.

Then type in your VIN and it will provide you the build sheet for your JK and tell you exactly what axles your JK came built with.

Chances are you have a D30 up front and D44 in the rear with probably 3.21 gears unless you have the tow package which then you will have 3.73 gears.

Regular tow package still comes with 3.21 the max tow package is where you get the 3.73.

3:37's were an option without the tow package as well. Both of mine have 3:73's, one with open rear the other with limited slip and no tow.

Just curious, having both types of diffs, do you recommend one over the other? I have open diffs and have no regrets.

standard dana diffs
Just to add a bit more: If you are looking at gears or lockers, make sure that they say 'JK' in the description, as there are differences between the JK and non-JK dana 30 and 44. (You don't have a rubicon, but there are also differences between the rubi 44 and non-rubi 44 rear JK axles). Also, for the gears, if you currently have 3.21's, you will need a new open carrier (or full case locker) for the front d30.

Both Jeeps were bought within the past year and haven't been off road with them yet only in snow and in 4wd it doesn't really matter but the limited is better in the snow in 2wd. For most situations an open rear will be fine its the muddy and steep situations I prefer the limited slip.
