So I picked up a hard top and need to get the computer flashed to allow the wiper and defroster to work. Apparently it's about $100 from all the jeep dealers around here because of the StarSCAN diagnostic tool. Anyone have any cheaper suggestions??

When I bought my hard top the dealer gave me a screaming deal on it with install included. They never mentioned anything to me about flashing the computer. Did you install the factory wire harness, and all the buttons and it doesn't work? I guess its possible you need the flash I just know the dealer never told me it needed to be flashed when I ordered my stuff.

 

Not sure how far from Rausch Creek you are but there is a run on Black Friday (see thread in East Coast Region of the Staging Area). I will be bringing a Starscan.

 

Yeah it says at the end of the directions it needs to be flashed after install. But yeah, I installed everything and that's where it's at.
