Default Start the Jeep, battery light comes on, radio doesn't work?

Hey everyone quick question. I started my car this morning and the battery light came on instantly and the radio didn't work. I turned the car off, then back on and the light went away and the radio started working. The strange thing was the radio came back on when I turned the car off and was using just the battery. I have an 8 gauge power cord running to my amp off the battery. Never done this before though, my buddy is chalking it up to the fact that my key is slightly bent and he said the same thing would happen in his dodge ram when he had a bent key. Any ideas guys?

Sometimes the body control module gets a brain fart, especially when you tie things into the battery.

I went in and tightened all the terminals on the battery. Cold started it, light didn't come on. Turned it off and started again and it and didn't come on. Seems like it might have resolved it.
