Okay .. so on a trail today ... my engine stalled out going up a small hill. I started it back up .. and it sounded as if the engine wouldn't QUIT turning over.

Husband said starter and few other people is that right?? Just want to doble check!

There is a TSB for the long crank time on the 07's due to camshaft sensor contact with the camshaft gear. Mine didn't start doing it until I'd had it for seven months, but after the first time it became more frequent. Easily fixed at dealership.

I see that yours is an '08, but here's a link to the TSB so you can check it out and see if it sounds like what you experienced. linky

would it be related to a 08?

Okay I will be more exact with the sound. It sounds like when you turn your key over to start your jeep. But sounds like it is grinding and whirring/winding to hard and long ... loud and makes me want to turn it off immediately.

I noticed before ... it took longer to turn over. Didn't think it had anything to do with my jk. Just cause it was a used vehicle. It took a couple turns of the key. Sometimes it started immediately sometimes it took a few turns of the keey.

So I am at a loss. I am not touching it. Its getting driven to the carwash, washed off ... while running. ... then driven to the dealership. Agh.
Hopefully its something and they'll fix it and cover it.

I think my jeep has been OOC/MIA more than I have driven it!

makes me so mad!

Sounds like your starter is not disengaging when the engine starts. Take it to the Dealer if your under warranty.
