Ok here's a problem I just had starting my 2007 JK Sahara, after work I returned to my jeep turned the key and "CLICK". *Tried again and CLICK. Thinking it was the battery I called AAA for a jump. Once hooked up to the AAA truck again CLICK. *As a guess, I turned the key to the start position moved the automatic gear handle through the gears and turned the wheel from side to side and tried restarting the engine and IT STARTED.*

Anyone else had this problem? Any guesses?*

As an update I found the following Tech bulletin: http://project-jk.com/jeep-jk-tsb-re...e-wcm-skreem-2

Very common problem. Usually just a slight jiggle of the shifter will make mine work fine. It's a switch similar to a neutral safety switch, called something different on this transmission though. Mine tends to do it more in the summer than winter but hasn't done it since I replaced my engine which seems odd now that I think about it.

Had this same issue with my 2009 4dr Sahara this past week, shifted out to neutral and then it started normal.

Sounds like the Transmission Range Sensor problem. Located inside the transmission on the valve body. Not a terribly hard fix, took my brother and I an afternoon to replace mine. So far so good.
