Default Stock 2dr softtop on a 4dr

I have a 4 door unlimited sahara and my friend has a 2 door sahara. I havn't tried it but my friend has offered me the soft top from his 2 door in trade for some IT services.

The back of the vehicles almost look identical, you think the 2dr softtop would fit on the back of the 4dr model, leaving the front open?

Thanks

No. Not at all. I cant imagine how you could think that it would even work. I wouldn't let you near my computer. ha! /jk

if there werent enough reasons already.. the side curtains from a 4 door are much shorter than a 2 door... the distance behind the door frame to the rear of the tub is much shorter on a 4 door than it is on a 2 door....
plus the hardware is much different for the sunrider.. the latched would have nothing to connect to.. its pretty much a disaster to think of it...

now what you could do if the soft top from your budy is cheap.. get it and see if someone wants to buy it.. then you can go buy a top used for a 4 door from a forum member that no longer wants it

best bet would be get the top and sell or trade it to get the 4door version.

well best bet would be to sell your 4door jk and get a superior 2 door model.]

I think I'll go with getting it then seeing if I can get one for my 4 door. It was just a thought, duct tape is not an option...lol

Ok, so I got the soft top. It most definatly won't work because its from a 2003 TJ Sahara 2 door.

So, i'm thinking of another option.

Would a trade of this TJ soft top (which is in very good condition since the owner had it in storage and only used it for 3 months) and my OEM 18" wheels and tires (all 5) for a complete set of new wheels and 33 - 35" tires (5) be fair?

I already talked to a dealer in town that said I probably could get about 900-1000 for the top and he would trade for a JK 4 door top but he didn't have an extra one to trade.

I really don't want a soft top and since I built my hard top hoist in the garage, I don't even need one. Popping the top on and off takes about 5 minutes now.

I doubt you'd find that trade.

Sell the top and put the $$ towards whatever you want.
