Stock Ball joints = Garbage
some people's blow out very quickly but mine lasted for 50,000 miles with heavy offroad use. I think it's another one of those it may happen quickly or may happen later like mine and much later like yours. i replaced wth stock also
This may be a dumb question... But I've been trying to chase down the source of my death wobble and wonder if it may be a bad ball joint. Here's the deal... I took it in for a second alignment in as many weeks last night. The Camber on my right front was out of spec and they recommended I replace the ball joint with an offset one to adjust. I said no since it was just a fraction of a degree off. But when I had the DW again on my way to work this morning, it hit home... bad camber... Hmm... maybe bad ball joint?
BTW: Mileage on the odometer is 26008... But it had over 60000 flat-tow miles behind an RV before I bought it.
