Default Stock hinges repainted

So I had the stock hinges repainted because of blistering from two different metals. Body shop said they weren't even primed underneath. Why they were at it had them paint mirror relocation kit, what do you think? I hated the black circle on my door, now it blends in pretty well.

I'm wondering if this is going to be a common problem. I was looking at an 08' and it had the same thing...

I think there are a few posts on here about it. The metals react causing rust to form under the paint, covered under warranty if your lucky

Did you just tape it off? I've also heard of people dipping them.

Also was your paint starting to chip and if so, did you scratch off the rest of the flakes before bed-lining? Really tempted to do this, its the only spot on my Jeep that looks bad at all. Would love to see a Rescue Green Unlimited with all 4 doors hinges done in black to see if I like the look or not. ><

Looks great man, I'm a big fan of the whole mirror being black. But I think it came out really good. And that black circle where the mirror used to be that is now Rescue Green, looks amazing! Great Idea!

Were they removed and dipped or was that done in-place?
