Default Stock JK 2 door tires

I own a stock JK 2 door and I'm lookin to get some bigger, beefier tires but not a lift. Not sure what would look an fit best without rubbing? Also looking to get some spacers to fit some wider tires but not sure how it would look... Any suggestions would definitely help, I don't wanna go to a garage and just have them tell me what they want to sell to me, I wanna know what would be best. So opinions are definitely appreciated!

285's are the max you can run with no rub. I ran my 295/70/R17's with no lift for several months and it only rubbed with the tires turned all the way to one side while backing up. The plastic "skid" plate or so it's called was what it was rubbing on but I never removed it until after I got a 2.5" BB...

I'm running 285/75/16 on my stock steelies that only rub at full lock. I will be installing 1.5" wheel spacers later this week.

Running 265/70R17's. No spacers and absolutely no rubbing. Could possibly go a little bigger.

I thought the 285/70/R17 rubbed when mounted on the stock rims?

You'll need spacers if you run stock rims.

Just get some 33x12.5's and you'll be good to go. They'll rub a little but it won't hurt anything!
