Default Stock muffler.

I'm about to install my new Flowmaster and mechanic that looked at the setup (to eyeball time, price and so on) said that my stock muffler is in great condition (20 000 km). And will easily go on Kijiji or Craigslist for $75-100.
Is this true?

You would do better by putting it in the free section here on the forum and in your group area and hooking up a fellow Jeeper. Maybe you'd get a six pack or so for it too. I loved giving away something I replaced knowing I was hooking up a fellow Jeeper and I even got a 12 pack of Sam Adam lights for it! Just a thought.

you might get 20 bucks at the most... but most people end up giving them away.. i have a couple that have been sitting in may garage for a year.. not many people are going to need a stock muffler... so i would say that is not true

Try selling it here on the for sale forum. Just make sure you state pickup only, no shipping.

All replies sound reasonable
So it is settled...if he takes it as part of the payment (which he said he might) - all the better.
If not...to "Freebies" it goes.
Thanks guys.
