Default Stock Shock Questions

Hello All. I have the high-pressure shocks w/ heavy duty suspension on my 08 Sahara because of the tow package. I know the Rubicon comes with high-pressure shocks - but they appear to be different shocks than the HP's on my Sahara.

Does anyone know what the difference is? Is there a place to go (haven't found it yet) that might compare the two? Is there a travel distance between them.... blah?

Okay. You can probably disregard. Just checked my brochure and it says the Rubicon and Sahara have the same high-pressure shocks. I had seen a Rubi with red shocks and thought they were different .. but they're not.

I am not so sure your shocks are the same as Rubicon. Here is a thread that may help (search is a wonderful thing) See my pics of shocks on page 2

No. I checked with Jeep. They're the same. Quoted from Jeep: When it comes to shock absorption, the Sahara models all feature heavy duty front shocks. The same is true of the Rubicon models.

Plus the tow package adds heavy duty suspension.
