Default Stock side step

Anyone know if u can take them apart mine are rusted and was looking to clean them up a bit. was wondering if the come apart ( brackets). Looks like hex head but they won't budge

Just put a set on mine an hour ago, the brackets are bolted to steps with a 10mm headed bolt. Easy to take apart.

I don't see this bolt I have three per bracket and they look like hex heads

It depends which side steps you have.

Here are the installation instructions for both types.

I know how to put them on and off. I want to take apart the bracket to paint them. My bad I wasn't clear.
