shorttyantennasource.com has a nice 12" that I installed and I get great reception still when away from the city. Easier too when cleaning the windshield not to have the dang antenna hitting you in the face.

This is my version of stubby...took off an Avenger, modified the base to fit and added a military ball on top, No loss of reception.

installed mine today. was a bit of a pain in the ass to install. no real way to clamp down on the antenna without damage to it. wrapped a towel arouunt the base and used vise grips. made for minimum damage. other wise looks great
