Default Stuck on snow

Last night I got home and found no parking on my street. There was a nice little mountain of snow that was taking up a could be parking spot. I put it in 4wd and went right up the mini mountain. This morning I got in put it in reverse (forward wasn't an option) I was stuck. As I hit the gas the traction control kicked in and I felt some shuddering. Turned out the frame was resting on snow so the tires couldn't get good traction. Eventually I chiseled the snow out the Jeep fell an inch and I was able to get out using 4wl. My question is did I do any harm with that shuddering I felt in 4whi? I didn't go to fast or force anything while in lo. I took it for a ride after and it felt and sounded fine. Just paranoid. Not used to owning a vehicle that is this tough. Thanks

Wouldn't have thought you did anything.

Sounds like what I have felt when the traction control has kicked on.

I don't know about damage but that is one good idea! Now whenever it snows you always have a parking spot

Thank you for the reassurance. Must say after 10 years of owning a Z28 the Jeep has been a blast. Even getting stuck was fun because I knew out wouldn't be for long.

I do the same thing. Parking is stupid in my area so I park on the snow hill to make more room.

Yeah can't think of anything that might have gone bad on snow and low acceleration.

Could you please explain what is happening when the Traction Control causes shuddering.
Just wondering as when we had snow over here some weeks back I experienced shuddering in the JK. Initialy thought something was wrong or snow build up on the wheels. Slowed down and eventually went away.

Thanks

Yup, even if there are 'spots' avaiable I still go climb the snow bank. Great fun gotta do something for fun until we can go topless and doorless.
