Who says they would even bother looking for the zipper in the first place? I bet they would just cut the window and then try to unlock a door from the side.

Now I wish they would put some kind of locking mechanism on the windows! To prevent them illegals from stealing my half windows.

Taking off the softtop for the first time, what the heck keeps people from unzipping the windows and climbing in/stealing whatever??
Am i really the only one here that wants to know how a new Commander burned to the ground?

What happened?

I am hoping that my raingler netting would deter stupid would-be thieves from slashing my plastic windows thinking that it is some kind of security netting. It is a long shot, but it gives me a false sense of security...hehe.

A policeman once told me, the cleaner the vehicle, the less stuff visible (if any at all) is a good way to keep thieves from hitting your vehicle.

This was after an old ratty jacket I had in the back seat of my Fairlane was stolen out of my car. It's worth? I had bought it several years ago for $30 bucks and used it when I was under the vehicle working on it. It was old, oily, dirty and useless to most people... yet it was stolen. Why? It was visible.

In a nutshell... keep a clean Jeep with nothing visable and your chances are good they'll move on to another vehicle.

Caught fire in my driveway about 3am, after a month of different police, fire dept, and insurance inspectors determined 'electrical' cost me $10,000 loss AFTER GAP insurance. Also burned part of my Shelby GT500 convertible parked beside it.

I'm sure someone is trying to get the HEMI out of it (only 10k miles) for a swap on here... lmao

Didn't know until I took off the top for the first time, I figured it would come off from the inside or have a lock. I'm not freaking out over it, just curious...

You're right, that's a stupid question.

Seriously though, the answer is "nothing". It's part of owning a Jeep.
