Default sub wolfers secure in jeep?

going to install 2 12" subs in the rear of the jeep and am wondering if theft is an issue? If so, has anyone secured them and what is the best way?

I bought the GPCA trunk cover for mine. Doesn't necessarily secure it, but it keeps it out of sight. Super easy to install, and it was one of the only ones I found that works with the hardtop on or off.

Mine is bolted to the right side of the cargo area. I drilled a hole through the side, accessible by removing the tail light, and put a bolt with washers through the box with a nylon lock nut on the inside to secure it. Did the same by drilling through the floor. The bolt is easily accessible by reaching up underneath the bumper. I sealed the inside of the speaker box off with silicone to keep it sealed. I don’t worry about it walking off, or moving around while out on the trails. I highly recommend sealing your box. If you ever get caught in the rain without your top, that MDF is going to swell up and look like crap. Assuming your box is made of that. Mine is sealed with bedliner. Can’t tell you how many times it’s been doused in the last few years, and it is perfect.

Nothing is safe from theft in ANY vehicle. But a soft-top is like leaving your property in the driveway under a tarp. I used to worry about this a lot, but I decided to not allow potential thieves to ruin my fun. I have a single 10" sub box bolted to my tailgate now. If someone steals it, they’re still making them...
