Default Sunrider - 2dr vs. 4dr - is there a big difference?

Title says it all. I have a 4 door and love the versatility of having the sunrider, but looking at other threads, it seems like a lot of the 2 door owners aren't such big fans of the sunrider in comparison to the 4 door owners.

So I'm just curious, for anybody who has experience with both, is there a big difference between the two?

How far does the sunrider on the 2 door fold back? I'm thinking if it doesn't go that far back, compared to the 4 door which opens up huge over both the front and rear seats, that could maybe be it?

I also love my 2DR sunrider. It is perfect, when riding home from work and don't want to take top all the way down and store windows

The 2DR SunRider top only opens up to expose the area above the front 2 seats (just like the 2 panels on the hard top.

I think some people prefer the more "openness" of the 4DR SunRider, which I can understand.

On the other hand, the 2DR SunRider is probably easier to fold back in a few seconds by yourself.

I have a 2 door and my friend has a 4 door. I took a lot of time looking at the 2 Jeeps one day to see the difference. The 4 door does fold back a lot more than the 2 door. When I have mine folded back the top is still covering my head. I barely ever use it, I just put the whole thing down.

I love the one on my 4dr, and I loved the one I had on my TJ. I almost always drop the whole thing though. It's like Snoop Dogg once said, "Doors off, top down; that's the way I drive around." Well, he may have said it a bit differently.

Sunrider on the 4dr gets a from me. Easy to flip back and opens far back enough that both the front and rear passengers get a nice view of the sky.

Sunrider has been a real asset. I am able to keep Heidi in the shade and still enjoy the open air ride. Heidis kryptonite is inability to function well in 90+ degree weather. (like I am! )

My 2dr sunrider is great. Do people with the 4dr get more excited because of the convenience of the sunrider vs taking the whole top down?

I dunno. Once you've got the sunrider open, you're almost all the way to top down anyway...just gotta pull the windows and lay it back

personally I think the design for folding the 4 door top all the way down is a major PITA. Even more of a PITA to put it back up. I can throw mine back in sunrider mode in 2 minutes tops. Its a lot easier.
