SunRider part missing
Does anyone know what the part number is for this cradle that holds the center bow on the 2door? I have the one on the passenger side, but I am missing the drivers side. My dealer doesn't have a clue and suggested I look at a wrecking yard...
Maybe this post should go in the "Stupid things your dealer has said" thread

I also sent a note to Bestop hoping they could help me. I don't have high hopes for that one though. I expect they will send me back to Jeep.

your dopey dealer should be able to with your vin number print out a drawing of your softtop with all the parts and part numbers listed, obviously he is a moron and doenst give a Bleep about his customers, maybe try another local dealer. I had dealer do this for me to find the screws that attach soft top bracket to the rollbar
I don't know about the "dealer" can find all the parts. I thought i was missing the little screws that attach to soft top to the brackets on the B-Pillar, they looked through drawings and even on a jeep on the lot, they couldn't find the part for anything. Luckly i eventually found them. I put them in a "safe" place, so "safe" i couldn't find them.
Oh man, I don't know how many times I have done that too. "I'll put it here so I will remember"
"Now where in the hell did I leave that thing??"
I agree on the dealer, pretty lame... However, in this case My Jeep didn't come with a soft top option. The dealer arranged for me to buy one as a side deal to make the sale. Apparently, he had sold another customer a dual top group and they only wanted the hard top. So he arranged for me to buy the brand new (in the box) soft top. The fact that the top came from a sale that the dealer made and that he arranged the side deal in order to make the sale to me, makes me think that him washing his hands of it is pretty lame. However, technically he is right, in that it does not fall under the warranty for my Jeep.
Never mind the fact that it does fall under the warranty of the other Jeep he sold.
It's such a small part that it really isn't worth getting worked up over. At this point, I'm just looking to figure out how I can get one.
Thanks Guys.

it should fall under the warranty for the soft top he sold you.
And the soft tops, all brandy new, with the dual top option don't come on boxes, the soft top is installed on the Jeep folded under the hard top. only the windows and door frames are boxed.

Well when I was at the dealer he took my vin, put it in computer then printed out a diagram of the soft top and a list of all the parts of it, including all the bolts and the sizes of them. SO yeah it does depend on your dealer and I'm not worked up about it lol. I just saying some dealers try more then others, just like some doctors.
