For those of you that have sent support to my Sunrider dilemma, THANK YOU. Here is the latest. I've submitted copies of my build sheet and a photo of another identical JK to mine build sheet. All things are identical, options, S package, sticker price, accessory price etc etc. My question is, does anyone know if is there a difference in price between the Sunrider (R) top and the regular soft top? I'm thinking the regional Jeep/Chrysler rep who is supposed to review my complaint will say they are the same price. They probably are close to the same. Maybe I can price each on the Jeep website. I tried the Besttop site but couldn't find an exact comparison. Any thoughts, suggestions, ideas, answers? I'm not going to give up.

 

I just found 2 sites that show prices of OEM tops for the 2008 JK. I was afraid of this. Sunrider top 1340 NON Sunrider 1330. Is the only difference the Hinged frame with the plastic splint/sleeve and the latches over the doors? Another site was 1325 for the Sunrider and 1320 for NON Sunrider. I can see the dealer handing me $10 and saying "have a nice day" Oh well we'll see.

 

If it was a 2dr, I would say don't worry about it. There is no point. If it was a 4dr, I would go get what is yours. They are obviously being shady and you are not being direct and to the point.

My sticker for my old 2007 that came with the non-sunrider top does not say anything about a sunrider. The word is not on the sheet at all. It says easy folding soft top in the base info. and Black Soft Top under optional equipment with no price beside it. Yours was supposed to come with one. Get it.

 

When I bought my '07 new a Sunrider top was a $250 sticker option. I was ready to pay the extra but the dealer couldn't find a JK with a Sunrider top within 100 miles of us.

 

If the sticker says SUNRIDER....fight till you get it....even on a 2 dr...I have the 2 dr and use it all the time and love it.

 

Why do you say this? It is great on the 2 dr...We like the sun too!
