Default Suspension Squeak

I have an 07 JKU that is bone stock with about 85k miles. Recently I have had a problem with a loud squeaking noise in the front passenger suspension. I noticed that the casing on the shock has rubbed the shock a lot and I'm wondering could it be time for new shocks or is there a quick, easy fix? Thanks all.

Have you noticed any leaking coming from the shock housing ?

No, nothing is leaking. The only thing I have noticed is a large wear spot on the shock from the casing.

It squeaks when I hit even the smallest bump and I'm going between 15-35mph.

I just dropped it off at the dealership for some recall work and they said the shocks are fine, but there are some bushings that need to be greased. Hopefully this will solve the problem.

sorry but I can't offer any advise, but mine does the same thing with a rough country 2.5 coil lift installed. It's driving me crazy......I'm getting ready to just start ordering parts hoping that if i replace everything it will go away. lol . I suspect I need ball joints so I'm prolly gonna start there. if you happen to isolate the problem lemme know, and I'll do the same.

Mine was creaking loudly when I went over speed-bumps at like 20MPH; sounded like the ball joints were about to fail, but when I checked them for movement & wear they were fine. Turned out to be the sway bar bushings; lubricated them & all good now.

Thanks for all the responses. This weekend I'm going to really grease all the joints and bushings and see if that changes anything.
