Default Sway Bar Disco and locker issues.

At Camp Jeep, my sway bar wouldn't reconnect after a trail ride, so I spent part of the last day letting Jeep Engineers and Mechanics look at it. They toook it apart and put it back together for my ride home. The past two weeks I've been to busy to take it in, so I didn't test it.

I just tested it today, and it unlocks fine, but still won't reconnect, so I scheduled an appointment to look at it. The engineers said there has been a newer motor being used with better seals for the past six months or so. He said he'd like to upgrade mine to the newer one, but they were in short supply. As long they fix it, I'm fine either way. If it breaks again after warranty, then maybe I'll put on a manual disco.

Also, my rear locker starts flashing from time to time while locked, then will eventually go on steady again. Plus it takes a long time to initially lock, and there are funny 'TINK-TINK noises while in use. The engineer also said to have that looked at. I haven't worried about that because I haven't needed it since CJ, and can do my daily drive without it.

Appointments Tuesday, I'll let you know what I find out.

That sucks! My X is in D-1 status right now. I ordered it with the rear locker and electronic sway bar that disconnects. I hope mine doesn't pull anything funny with me.
