To reset the OCI, turn key to ON, pump gas pedal to floor three times within ten seconds. Then turn to off.

Reset it every time you change even if it hasn't come on again yet.

You can change to synthetic anytime. If so, you can extend the change interval a good 25% further than the OCI says. (if it goes off at 4000 mile, you can go to 5000, no worries) Just don't exceed the warranty requirements.

You'll probably want synthetic for the cold weather. When does that start, next month? :-)

It's all in your manual, if you didn't get one you can download one from jeep.com. I think they'll mail you a paper copy if you ask for one.

Oil is a religion. If you want better info, check out BITOG forum.

Because for most applications synth oil is better in every way.

There are several threads on the forum about this, you'll get different opinions. I personally run synthetic.

I have used Dino oil all my life and routinely keep my cars past the 150,000 mile mark. I have never had engine problems. I have had two separate friends run synthetic that allowed them to run longer oil changes and replaced motors under 50,000 miles. NOTHING is better than routine maintenance.

I've only ever used full synthetic in mine and never had an issue. I always adhere to the required maintenance cycle.

X2 on the maintenance, regardless of oil type.

The reset procedure you described is the same on the 2013 sport models?
