Default synthetics

i am considering using royal purple in my engine, trans, diffs and tcase. i went to my local parts store and the cross reference in the rp guide indicates that i can use the rp max atf for my 2010 manual 6 speed gear box and tcase. is this accurate or a misprint? i know some of you are going to wonder why i'm replacing my oils in a 2010 already, i'm just that kind of person. my jeep is also my office, so i need it running well and get good mileage and reduced friction with the amount of kilometers i rack up.

You can use the ATF in your transfer case for sure but im not sure you can use it in your tranny. I just grabbed the royal purple equivlant of the manuf. spec. Did it to my 2010 rubi as well

I used RP Synchromax in my tranny and Max ATF if the transfer case.

Quality fluids go a long way. Everyone has their brands and their reasons for doing so. I use to wonder the same thing, but after owning my first Wrangler, I now understand. It truly is a Jeep Thing.

Just for everyone's information I contacted RP before swapping my fluids out for their synthetics. They recommend Synchromax for both the transmission AND the transfer case. I have been running it in both for over 15K miles now and still runs beautifully AND (combined with swapping out the diff oil to RP 75W-90) gave me ~2 - 3 mpg increase due to being able to run the engine at lower RPMs due to less parasitic power loss. RP said that the Synchromax, though not "certified" for use in either the NSG-370 or the NV-241, the Sychromax exceeds the standard for use in both.

I've had great luck with Amsoil and Royal Purple.
