If you run breather lines from both axles, the trans and transfer case to a higher breather like in the engine compartment then you will never have to worry about this ever again. Try this thread.

The breathers from the transmission and transfer case already run into the engine compartment along the firewall. I just couldn't recall how high, and 07JKX had told me he was pretty deep. I suspected he is okay too, but sometimes better safe then sorry.

Was reading my manual today (schedule B) and it says "transfer case drain and refill" @ 100,000 km... nothing before that???

Today i had my first diff fluid change front and rear.. was $140.00 @ MR Lube.. Stealership wanted $320.00...

Just curious but why would you pay someone to do that?

I think that's the most ridiculous price I've heard yet. Even $140 is way too high. At about $80 per hour they're saying it takes about 1.5 hours (given a cost for lube) to drain and fill two differentials.

I chose to do my own. But there are allot of reasons why someone wouldn't do it themselves. Here are some I could think off the top of my head:
  • Some communities (especially in apartments) don't let you work on your vehicle in the parking lots or roadways
  • No tools and/or no place to store tools
  • No garage and its cold (OP lives in Canada)

It was 50 bucks an axle plus a mopar additive...plus tax.. keep in mind up here in Canada 140 bucks is like a weeks wage to americans so I can see why it seems steep...It's really not that bad. And yeah, I live in a townhouse.. I can't park my JK next to my trailer and spend 2 hours dumping gear oil everywhere....

Besides, nobody answered my question about the T-case yet..
