Default T Case Problems?

I went wheeling last weekend. About a mile after the trail on the Forest Road in 2wd I noticed a tapping noise from under the driver front. It sounded like someting riding on a gear. After looking under the jeep and jacking the front up I couldn't find anything wrong. I had to limp it 8 miles doing 10 mph to the gas station at the beging of the forest road, to get help. It didn't matter if it was in 2wd or 4hi the noise only seemed to change the faster I went. At the gas station I borrowed a wrench to remove my front driveline. With the front driveline out and in 2wd the noise went away. Any ideas? Thanks for reading. I will be taking it to the dealer this weekend, but fear they are going to tell me I'm SOL becuase of the 33's and lift.

Take a good look at your driveshaft.
