Default Tailgate Vent.

Just replaced my 2008 Tailgate vent. Symptoms were noisy in the rear with road noise and incredible dust coming in while off roading with windows down a bit. The rubber flaps were totally non-existent. Got the part from Mopar $35CDN and removed the spare. Took 10 seconds to pull the part off and 60 seconds to reinstall new part. Does not require removal of the tire carrier. This is for the early small back window model. The vent orients vertically whereas the later model is mounted horizontally. Harder to close doors now with windows up. Please note that unless you get inside the door you cannot remove the vent without breaking the holding clips which don't matter if you are replacing it. This was the result of telling another Jeeper guy my issue and he had the same with his. Just passing it to others here in case they have same problem.

Wish this controlled the noise and dust while the top and doors were off as well!

Seriously the best $10 or $20 I've spent in a while. I couldn't believe the amount of dust coming into the jk and with no cabin air filter who knows how much I was breathing in. This should almost be done every 5 years lol
